2011 Volvo S60 T6 AWD Sedan - First Drive - Motor Trend
This is probably the most un-Volvo Volvo in styling. The engine has been replaced. Gone is the inline 5, now replaced with a 3.0L inline 6 making 300 HP. 0-60 is about 6 seconds and is offered in 6speed transmission and all wheel drive.

At that kind of power and appearance, I wouldn't mind owning one if someone would loan me $40,000 at 0 down and 0 a month. I've always been a fan of inline sixes. I like the smooth power delivery,...but then again, that was a rear wheel drive inline six.

Maybe I'll buy one - someday - when my 240 wears out.

The S60 is hot. Might be the successor to my S80. Apparently it shares quite a bit with the S80 anyway. Not that sharing anything with the S80 is a bad thing.

I would agree about the now obsolete 5cyl, especially the light pressure turbo. Strong at all RPMs, bulletproof, and nice sounding too.

Had a 164 in the mid 80's.
Body was a little rough but the best running car I ever had.
Inline 6...
Lots of power when you needed.

Keep dreaming. I owned several 240s, traded them in or sold them, even had a couple killed in crashes, but have never had a 240 actually wear out. The 240's powertrain was legendary in terms of reliability.

I still have a 17 year old 940, which refuses to wear out. I'm not that good to it either. But it soldiers on, and still looks clean. It's like an old pair of expensive shoes that only need resoling every few years and they keep plodding on, none the worse for wear. At this point, I am unable--and unwilling--to part with it.
