Comet Neowise is not that far above the horizon, and there are too many trees around where I live. Any good places to see it around here? Or am I going to have to drive to Shenandoah or something?

You don't say where you are, but I'd suggest finding some cornfields along Route 109 near Beallsville.

I work in Germantown, so I'd be easy for me to get out to that area. I'm looking at Google Maps and there's definitely some areas north and south of Beallsville along 109 without much trees in the way. But it's all private property, right? Not sure I could really stop anywhere there.

It's getting pretty high in the sky; your neighborhood baseball field/school should work fine if you have binoculars and check the web about when are where to look.

Best advice: "You'll see much more if you allow at least 10 minutes for your eyes to adapt to the darkness. The clock starts again each time you look at your phone."

There are easements at the edge of the road under the electric poles where you could park. If you try there, asking the homeowner would be a good idea, so they don't call the cops.

I remembered a baseball field on Poolesville Road before it intersects Whites Ferry, or perhaps it was called Whalen Common. There is also be church parking lots nearby.
