I'm moving from DC to Philly and I'd like to throw out two chests of drawers. I'm from NY, and in the city, we just leave furniture on the side of the street and the NY trash disposal people pick it up. It doesn't seem like this is the process in DC and online it says that they only do pick up for residential areas. I live in a large apartment complex in Foggy Bottom and I'd rather not pay $100 for a trash removal service to pick up two old pieces of furniture that are worth absolutely nothing.

Any ideas of how to dispose of them?

Thanks!

Just put up a sign by your elevator and sell it or give it to a college student.
