Has the 14th Street Corridor starting in Logan circle at P and 14th up to 14 & U finally become a established DC neighborhood? Is it or will it be on the same level as Dupont Circle, Woodley Park/Adams Morgan, and Foggy Bottom, chinatown etc in DC. With the almost weekly opening of new popular restaurants and shops along with several large, high profile commercial real estate projects delivering relatively soon it should be interesting to see if this neighborhood upstages some of the more established areas in the city.
The 14th Street corridor is nice and often forgotten about. I think it is more of a connection corridor, joining together other more interesting neighborhoods. I don't think it is or will ever be on the same level as the other places you mentioned. It is nice to visit if you are walking around town.

I think so. If you don't think that neighborhood is "established," then I'm afraid to hear what you think about Ledroit Park.
When I think of the term “established” I think of generational stability, long time businesses, families and familiar community stakeholders that all contribute to a neighborhood’s persona. The new 14th street has the architecture and foot traffic but none of the above yet. I was visiting one of the nicer condos around that area recently and in the parking garage there were almost as many out of state tags as there were DC tabs (I mean NY, Conn, Calif., Jersey, not just MD and VA). Yeah that’s typical for many parts of DC, like Capitol Hill which is obviously established, but it got me wondering if ANY of this crowd is sticking around. Will at least some portion of the neighborhood grow old together, or is destined to be a yupster playground until it gets runned down and become the ghetto again?
