I'm going to a 4:15 game at FedEx field thi year. I wanted to ask everyone's opinion about the safety of riding the metro to the game. I also wanted to ask how safe is the walk from the station to the field?
You'll be fine. Metro transit police will most likely be around the station and PG county police will be there along the route to the stadium doing traffic control. It's a very popular method of transportation to the game, so you'll see tons of fans near you in the train as the stop gets closer. Once you get to the station, just follow the crowd. It's a little under a mile of a hike, but with everyone so excited you won't notice

Thanks
You'll be fine. I did it a couple of years ago during a night game (rode from Van Dorn St to the stadium), the Skins were playing the Cowboys no less, and no major incidents.
Echo the previous statements, you'll be fine. Hell this year I rode the blue line to Morgan Blvd at like 9AM because I was going to the Andrews AFB air show. The buses to the base left from FedEx Field. I walked about half the distance from the station to the stadium with no issues, it was basically a ghost town, then my buddy just happened to pass by in his car and gave me a lift haha.
