According to ABC news, the lockdown is over. Inside the Capitol the movement is permitted but nobody (from outside) is being allowed to go inside at the moment.

Apparently some women rammed an entrance gate at the White house, a chase ensued toward's the Capitol & the women driving the car in question was taken out by the Police, she is dead. An officer was injured & taken by helichopter to a hospital. The women driving the car that the cops lit up also had a young child in it that appears to be unharmed.

Sources confirm that the woman fired no shots.

This is looking worse and worse for the cops by the minute. Police brutality all the way.

Also, the suspect was definitely a tea party nutjob. I mean, come on- targeting the White House first? Ramming its gates? Doesn't this smell like classic tea party/right wing aggression?

And on a related note, she probably wasn't even born in Connecticut.

WVIT-TV (NBC) channel 30 of New Britain/Hartford is saying that the car involved, likely an Infiniti, was registered to a person in Stamford, CT and had Connecticut license plates, if that matters.

NBC New York is saying the same. Also a police car was involved in the incident (meaning it got into an accident as a result) and a police officer was rushed off to hospital as a result

The **** are you talking about? The only thing that looks bad for the cops is that they didn't put her on ice when she tried to run them down while trying to get out of being pinned between their cars and a barricade right outside the Capitol.
