Move over Chicago, DC is my kind of town... (safe, homeless)

(with apologies to Frank Sinatra for the title of the thread)

Well I have to say I was pleasantly impressed when I spent a few days in DC. I had been there in the 80's and there was nothing to do after 1 AM. There were homeless sleeping near Congress and it was not very safe a few blocks from the White House.
Well what a difference 30 years can make..this time I was impressed with the nightlife and of course the city has pent well beautifying the capitol.

The truck food was fantastic and I loved the Ethiopian food I are there too...

How long ago was this trip? Some of those pictures are obviously outdated. By years.
