Every year around independence day, when these firework stands start popping up people just buy and blow up TNT and dynamite - at least in wards seven and eight they do, I can't speak about the other wards.

Every time these kids blow up TNT and dynamite, my house literally shakes and all the cars' alarms go off. It's impossible to sleep at night because it sounds like a war zone.

Is this happening in the other wards? Do we just cope and fix the nail pops? Or could we petition to the DC council to ban high-noise explosives - specifically TNT and dynamite. I don't mind the nice fireworks that go in the sky and make nice colors.

How long have you been here?. The TNT is a reminder that maybe it's not the city to be in if your not used to this type of stuff. Does this go on in other wards?. The whole city in up in smoke because it's the 4th of July.

Pretty sure it is already illegal.

I've been in DC (ward seven) for the past 5+ years. So you think it's better to move out and let people here blow up dynamite and TNT than do something about it? I've been raised to always leave a place in a better condition than I found it. I don't think it's OK for people to blow **** up. Time for change. As far as the smoke, I said I don't mind the nice fireworks - but TNT and dynamite aren't fireworks - they're just loud explosives.
