My husband and I moved from the DC area to Charlotte in 2006. (We lived in DC for 6 years after we graduated from college.) Anyway, to make a long story short, we loved DC but couldn't afford it after I didn't work during my pregnancy. So... we moved to Charlotte, liked it originally, but not so much anymore. However, we've built a house in the first phase of a new community that was doing well, but in the last 7 months or so, things have really slowed down and they're having a hard time trying to sell land/houses in the last phase of this community.
We have a plan to move back to the DC area, and plan on putting our house on the market early Spring 2010, with hopes of moving back to DC by Summer 2010. I guess my question is, are we thinking logically????
I don't want to remain in Charlotte longer than 2010, but fear that we may have to due to poor real estate and the economy.
Are you not going to the SHOUT Festival in downtown Charlotte this weekend? It is awesome food, and a vodka/martini tent..can't beat it...in the middle of the city
I really hope you're right!!! I hope Charlotte continues to be the "hot spot" in 2010!!!! I'd love to get this baby sold right away!!!!
