Yesterdays (2/16/2011) Highs and lows on USA mainland:
Warmest highs are in west Texas…lowest overnight lows look like extreme northern Maine (-9 F). Most areas near climo except the middle Plains/southern Plains and Middle East Coast (VA to CT).
Incredible warmth for February across the midwest and northern Rockies. Look at Rapid City at 67, or Billings at 58. Imperial, NE at 70 is wild! Seeing all those 80s in Texas gives one a glimpse of mid to late spring! Even across the Ohio River Valley, with 67 in Cincinnatti, or 74 in St. Louis to 69 in Charleston, WV is impressive! Folks up in International Falls, MN at 48 are sure enjoying it, no doubt!
