Following Candle's alien-planet climate, here's another unrealistic one.

Those who know me know that I love warm climates and hate cold, however here's what could possibly be one continental climate I could enjoy, however subject to the following conditions :

- Winter is extremely sunny with occasional very heavy snowfalls. When it's not snowing, it's automatically sunny with not a cloud around.
- There is no wind, ever, in winter.
- The environment is not urban; snow doesn't become dirty because of cars, etc.
- There is no thaw in winter. Snow doesn't melt, doesn't become ice.
- There are thunderstorms in summer, but mostly very brief or, even better, at night.
- The weather is never overcast - it's either sunny, snowy or raining hard.
- The sun angle is always high, say 40° in winter and 90° in summer.

This is due to the fact that I actually enjoy (occasionally) a bright, white, snowy landscape when it's accompanied by bright sunshine (despite the fact that I hate cold) - provided that winter is short and warms up extremely quickly to a long, hot, sunny summer.

This is by no means a dream climate, but, if I had to live in a continental climate, this is what I would enjoy the most. I would rate it a C+.

Here are the stats - average low/high in °C, sunshine hours, weather event

JAN
-4/-2 270 hours Occasional heavy snow

FEB
0/15 280 hours Sunny; trees start to blossom

MAR
6/23 320 hours Sunny; no wind

APR
15/27 330 hours Sunny; light breezes

MAY
20/30 350 hours Sunny; rare t-storms

JUN
23/32 360 hours Sunny; humid; windy; occasional t-storms

JUL
24/32 360 hours Similar to June

AUG
23/33 330 hours Similar to July

SEP
20/30 320 hours Drier; sunny; light breezes; rare t-storms

OCT
12/24 300 hours Sunny; no wind

NOV
2/17 300 hours Sunny; no wind

DEC
-4/-2 250 hours Sunny; occasional snowstorms

TOTAL 3500 hours (if I'm not mistaken)

It's a C+.

I also don't like cloudiness without precipitation so this climate isn't bad at all...but I would prefer more precipitation with those summer temperatures.

Anyway, summers here are on the warm side but not stiflingly hot.

C+, summers way too hot and long, but winters are very appealing with a mix of heavy snow and sunshine (and the fact snow never thaws).

The fact that it gets snow with freezing temperatures at all ensures that it gets an E/F.

B-

I like the idea of a short and sharp winter, summers are a bit too hot but still OK.
