Have at it If I was offered the opportunity to have a job here, I would actually do it. To me, anything under 0°F all feels the same to me so the temps don't freak me out. I consider this to be more livable than somewhere which averages close to or over 100°F for half the year. D+

Looked at recent temps for their middle of winter, see plenty of -90°F/-67°C lows and one low of -101°F/-74°C

This place is very sunny during the summer so it will feel very warm in the sunshine.. a definite improvement on Vancouver.

While I would definitely enjoy the four months of pitch black darkness a year, a horizontally moving sun and ultra low temperatures, some semblance of not-winter is still necessary not to get bored. C. McMurdo station has a more variable climate though it's still cold year round, I'd prefer that to south pole if I were to move to Antarctica.
