They're all excellent climates, but I think NYC has the best seasonal balance of the 4.

Boston because it's snowier, cooler year round and summers are not so hot & humid. But I bet Boston still gets brutal heatwaves.

They're all crappy, but I go Philly by a nose. D.C.'s mugginess is oppressive, and Boston's cold is too cold for my taste. NYC and Philly are pretty equivalent, but there is a little more of the urban heat island effect in NYC, and Philly can be less dreary because the skyline is so limited. More sunlight reaches the ground in more of the downtown areas. It's totally schizophrenic in the spring and fall/early winter, though.

Washington for the most thunderstorm days. I prefer Boston's cold/snowy winters though
