It's been ages since we've had a dream climate thread, so this shall be a good opportunity for 1/new members to post their dream climate and 2/old forumers to post a potentially revised version of theirs!
I'll start with my updated dream climate - this might surprise some of you who've known me and my preferences for long, as it is noticeably cooler than before, reflecting my preferences which have somehow shifted towards slightly cooler weather recently.
It is no longer a tropical climate, though highly borderline, with a coolest month mean 1°C short of the tropical threshold. Its climate classification is Cwa.
Winter is mild to warm, abundantly sunny and bone dry. It is the sunniest season, sees nil rainfall, calm winds, and most afternoons above 20°C. Standard deviation is low, especially regarding low temperatures, hence a mild all-time record low of 7°C.
Spring sees the hottest afternoons of the year, especially towards May. Humidity is generally low but late afternoon thunderstorms are frequent, while nights remain mild.
Summer is marked by a noticeably higher humidity, warm nights, and slightly cooler afternoons. Partly cloudy conditions prevail with the occasional shower.
Fall is transitional, getting cooler and drier towards winter.
My dream climate is East Bay City, a Dfb climate located at 41.6N on a planet about 2C cooler than earth. Winters are cold and snowy, while summers are warm and rainy.
After a year and a half I have finally given my dream climate a name.
It is located on a large continent which spans from 50N to 50S, in between Australia and America.
My climate is located at 35S, at an elevation of 600m. It's roughly 90km from the west coast of this continent.
Classification is Csa (Koppen), and under Trewartha it is still mediterranean (the precipitation threshold is 900mm!) It also has some continental influence.
