I was just using that as an example, as many posters on here (particularly from parts of the US) who get much colder winter minimums than the UK don't consider certain below 0C temperatures to be as cold as we would

Yeah - like B87 considers Milan to be frigid in winter, in Minneapolis they'd consider it tropical.

Most people would not consider 0c cold because it pretty much happens constantly all winter.

Well considering my average winter low is about 0.8c i'd say yea..

So the temperature is constantly 0C and never anything else? Both day and night? So you never have above-freezing temperatures?!

0c is cold for here, most of the time daytime temperature is 5-10C in winter, occasionally reaching 12-13c
and ocasionally falling below 0, but it rarely falls below -3
