I always liked Portsmouth during summer, it's certainly one of the better places in England between May and Sep.
Yes it's not a bad place, once you get past some of the locals
I forgot to add another couple of reasons why it is warmer than Lee-On-Solent... We don't drop as low at night, so have a bit of a head start as temperatures rise during the morning & also there may well have been mist/sea fog at Lee-On-Solent today. The Met Office forecast for today mentioned fog for southern coastal areas today & as they have largely had a sea breeze it may have just fringed them... not that I have heard any ships fog horns today mind... Also where I am is classed as central Southsea & I'm a 15 minute walk from the beach, sea breezes don't really have much of an effect unless you are right on the beach/seafront itself...
it's a pleasant although a much below average 80.6f(27c) thanks to the cool front that passed through. The wind is from the NW at 10mph with scattered clouds. The humidity is nice and low at 51% with a dew point of 61f(16c). Here is the picture perfect weather here in Miami.
Quebec City at 82F ...warmer than Miami today, go figure
Super sunny, very low humidity,.... day 10 of California-like weather
As per usual these days, warmer father east (and north)....today's highs...
Montreal 27c / 81F
Ottawa 28c / 83F
Quebec City 28c / 82F
Our high temp today was 65F. Seems like forever since a cloudy day. Our winds have been straight east, ne, or se for days. Keeping us below average but still very nice. You guys have been quite a bit warmer than we have. The high pressure center must be sitting right over Montreal.
