They're not really any more silly than some other threads, like the ones with fictional climate battles. I actually think it's fun to think about these scenarios.
Ok, here's one: Nobody cares, as they're impossible. Go and try your luck on a forum for mentally disabled or something. 1900 posts and 100% of them have been total rubbish. Must be some kind of record.

Its not fun its stupid I mean a actual hurricane can't even survive at a latitude as high as 50n (newfoundland) because the waters are too cold the storm would turn into a very strong extratropical storm.
And as to a blizzard in Miami that's impossible in todays climate.
Some fictional climate battles can be meaningful especially if the fictional climates are realistic and can be compared to real life climates. Also maps with carefully thought out climate zones with diagrams to show where the fictional location is in relation to the climate. So discussion can be made on that.
While this silly thread here doesn't bring up any discussion I mean clearly neither is likely.
I think it's interesting to ponder which event is more likely in a 'both are virtually imposable' scenario. Newfoundland has had direct strikes from hurricanes in the past, whereas Miami has never recorded snow (except one dubious instance in the 1970s), so Newfoundland is clearly the obvious choice.

A Cat 5 has never and will never strike Newfoundland, but Newfoundland has been struck by 13 hurricanes in its recorded history - as in, Cat 1 or stronger.
