4 season climates where you're "lucky because you get to experience the beauty of fall foliage and cold crisp winters"

Climates with "summers that are mild/not too hot" (this is never good usually)

A number of these posters are foreign to the elements of our forum. Hence, they do not know the kind of specific replies we expect.

Most ppl would feel blessed to be raised in the mild climate of Silicon Valley with low humidity and warm, but usually not hot, bone dry summer days and cool nights, and mild winters with some rain (except for this year). As you regs know, I don't like it and crave the drama of seeing snow falling outside my front yard in winter at times and experiencing thunderstorms, warm rain, and warm nights in summer. However, I don't like extreme cold and a permanent snowpack in winter or constant heat and humidity in summer. My ideal climate would be like an NYC winter with a mixture of some snow, moderate cold and occasional warm spells and Northern New England summer (less humid than NYC, good amount of sunny and comfortable days while still having some thunderstorms in summer.).

Orlando doesnt have distinct seasons? You might want to take trip there in January.

If I'm not swimming I don't like it hot. 90F and above and I'm miserable and longing for my Canadian climate.

For me, where do I start....eastern/northern Europe (England, Germany, Sweden, Hungary), Canada, New Zealand and midwest/eastern USA (namely Chicago and New York). Many people dig those (at least those here) for their 'four distinct seasons', but I can't imagine living there.

So, climates nearly everyone may enjoy but you just don't? Give me some shockers!
These, any area with 4 distinct seasons is over rated in my opinion.

San Diego and Nice seem to get a lot of praise and I dislike both (though Nice, with its more abundant rain and cooler weather, is far superior).

The cooler half of the year is distinct from the hotter half, but it's perpetually warm, bar occasional cold snaps that don't last long (and rarely deliver wintry precipitation).
