Fairbanks for having a (slightly) warmer winter although anything below 20c is too cool for me.

Labrador City....at only 53N, much higher sun angle, more winter sun

Pretty bad climate for 53N, slightly farther south than Edmonton

On the plus side plenty of snow, much more snow than Fairbanks.

Labrador City, more snow without the rapid Spring warm-up that Fairbanks has. More precipitation as well which is a plus. I don't like dryness.
