Larissa is located in Central Greece in the region of Thessaly and has a mediterranean climate with some continental influences. The climate is generally dry with only 423 mm of precipitation per year and 117 days of precipitation. Winters are cool to cold with January being the coldest month with a daily mean temperature of 5,2 C. Snow is rare occuring about 4-6 times per year and doesn 't last for more than a few days. Sometimes it is heavy. Summers are hot (of the hottest in the country) with occasional thunderstorms generally from May through September. July is the hottest month with a daily mean temperature of 27,2 C. The highest temperature ever recorded in the last years in the city is 45,4 C and the lowest -21,6 C.

Of course it has chances of snow! Sometimes is heavy like December 2001, 2010 and February 2012.

C-... Winters look soooo cold and the place looks soooooo dry!! Summers are good temp wise though and sunshine is perfect!!

Larissa is dry but about 200 km west of Larissa there is the city of Ioannina which now has 1301,2 mm per rain. :P This is Greece. Great difference from west to east and from north to south. :P
