Lets call this island Melfond island what would the climate of this island resemble?

I'e made many climates based on this island but what do you think the island would look like, smell like and of course the climate?

The island is rouhly 20 mile long and wide located, 3 miles south of Cape town/S.A very hilly interior with my fictional city (New Melfond) located just north of the interior mountains but around 3 mules south of the north coast..

I'd love to hear some replies..

PeaceNlove.

3 miles is pretty close - basically in the suburbs of Cape Town.

I'd take a look at Cape Town's averages, drop a degree or two off the summer highs and add a degree to the winter lows, and there you have it:

Pretty similar to Madeira, but a couple of degrees cooler year round. Cape Town itself has a very similar climate profile to Madeira, with temperatures and precipitation being somewhat similar. Vegetation would be subtropical. Madeira is also very hilly.

If it is that close, it probably would not be that different.. a hundred miles away from the continent and it would be milder in winter perhaps, and cooler in summer
