So 2 meters of snow in some parts of Buffalo and NY state, but with warmer conditions and temps in the mid 60s for tomorrow, should we be worried about excessive melting and flooding? To top that it looks as though a massive rainstorm will also dominate the area tomorrow creating worse flooding. Then, just in time for thanksgiving, it looks as though the weather will get to freezing again, which could freeze any flooding and create more snow on top of that! Should we all be worried about whats going on over there? I know I come from boring oceanic Britain, where extremes don't happen - but this to me looks like a deadly event?! So are people prepared in the area? Here's a forecast form the BBC weather about the buffalo melt, and the 2nd freeze up:

Also could people living in the area keep us up to date (if you can)? I'm interested in how all this crazy weather will work out?
