I'm disappointed. Somebody told me today they heard we were supposed to get 16 inches here north of Albany. It looks like we might get a third of that.

Good way to see the atmosphere is the Water Vapor Loop found here or here.. Look at that dive and the little spin over Kentucky!

So it stands right now, this storm could challenge NYC's all time record snowfalls....

Meanwhile here in South Florida we are currently experiencing a temperature of 58F with a dewpoint if 45F and overcast skies. *envious of your incredible snowstorm*

Future Radar Loop. Watch the thing spin off the coast. No mixing or rain issues this time. All that Atlantic moisture spinning right into cold air.

The storm will get strong enough and produce its own cold air. Meaning it will get colder aloft without any help from Canada. Just the storm itself drawing air down from the Upper levels. Like Day after tomorrow.

It's cloudy there? Haha! Clear skies here. The stars are beautiful tonight.

Big forecasting fail by the NWS. Predicted 50F low, it's already in the 40s.

History being made right in front of us for many folks. And close to it for many as well. Top 10 for sure around here.

tNCDC might rate this a Cat 2 when said and done.

I'm happy for you Cambo, but I must admit, jealousy is eating me from the inside out

So... 14-24 inches is now what they're calling for here. Wow, I hadn't even been paying much attention.

Just to jump ahead for a second, but NWS says "chance of snow" Thursday and Friday. Is there another system on the horizon?
