Which one would you think is the healthiest to live in, and why? (Assuming both are in pristine rural locations, with air con available etc).
Here is a hypothetical comparison:
Desert:
Avg. humidity: 35%
Lowest temp of the year: 30 F
Highest temp of the year: 110 F
Average temp of the year: 70 F
Rainfall: 5 inches
Sunshine: 3900 hours
Tropics:
Avg. humidity: 80%
Lowest temp of the year: 75 F
Highest temp of the year: 94 F
Average temp of the year: 82 F
Rainfall: 100 inches
Sunshine: 2200 hours
I prefer a BWh hot desertic climate influenced by the sea like the one you can find in the eastern Canary Islands or Cape Verde.
Although the humidity is significantly higher than 35% and the winters are warmish to mild, and in Cape Verde they're directly warm. But I hate tropical rain and humidity +70%
I would vote for the Tropics scenario, since I love the rain and high humidity that would be present year round; I know, I am definitely considered the minority on this votebut to each his own I am intolerant of low humidity and excessive extremes in temperature
