The weather station of Forlorn Hill is located at an altitude of 450m on the west coast of an island 60˚N. It is known as one of the cloudiest, most depressing places in the world with an average year-round temperature of just 1.25˚C and only 568 hours of sunshine. Winds are also quite strong throughout the year but especially in September and October. Humidity is high for the whole year.
Winter (November-March) is cold, wet, snowy and overcast. Most days receive rain and snow, slushy snow covers the hilltop for all of winter. Temperatures are VERY uniform, the records during the months of November-March are complete flukes, most days range between 3˚C and -3˚C.
Spring (April-June) is an extension of winter, with lots of snow and over 600mm of rain. As June is the "sunniest" month, there is the rare chance of a clear day or even a partly cloudy day, but in that chance it means that the next week usually receives no sunlight.
The summer months of July and August are the only months that have below 5cm of snowfall on average. The hilltop and surrounds are usually a shade of dark green in the dim light of the season. August can be quite cloudy. The chance of 8-10˚C maximums are very low but if one does occur, it is usually surprisingly pleasant.
Autumn (September-October) is the time of rapid seasonal change and lots of snow! It's also the cloudiest season, with only 17 hours of sunlight in the 2 months. Nearly every day bares some form of precipitation, whether snow, rain or sleet.
Even though the climate is poor, it's also a winter paradise. Further up the mountains, skiing is near perfect as most of the rain on Forlorn Hill is snow higher up. Down on the coast, there is the off chance of 20˚C+ maximums in summer.
I'd never live here but maybe a holiday in winter...

There are places that are worse but there also places far better as well. If it's a beautiful area then it'd be fine and it could be worse all in all, but it isn't near good at the same time.
