As with the previous threads, let's rank these Mediterranean climates from your most to least favorite. Don't forget to vote for your favorite in the poll
1) Perth: Very nice climate with hot summer days and nights that are cool enough to sleep comfortably but not so cold that you're chilled when hanging outside at 9PM, some summer rain, mild winters, decent sunshine year round.
2) Tunis: (hot summers with warm, balmy nights (AC needed though) and mild winters even if daytime highs slightly cooler than Perth. Looks like it gets a little bit of late summer rain too.
3)Cape Town: summers just a little cooler than I prefer (but no AC needed!) but still have some rain, winters similar to Tunis
4)Los Angeles: I think you all know what I like and dislike about my own climate
6) Madrid: Nice sunny summers with little bit of rain but winters are a bit chilly.
7) Jerusalem: good summer temperatures but somehow they manage to be even drier than anywhere in California (I didn't think that was possible!). Winters a bit too chilly and overcast.
8) Sacramento: summers have too much diurnal range and completely bone dry and winters are too foggy and chilly but still gets points for overall sunshine and 8 months of warmth.
9) Santiago: summer days seem okay but cools off to much in the evening. Winters aren't warm enough either; too dry overall.
10) San Francisco: what the heck is summer? Yes, winters are mild but one should NOT need a jacket at 3PM on an the average July day. Only saving grace is that there are warm daytime summer microclimates nearby.

San Fran is the best of the bunch. I can't stand 80+ temps.
Santiago is pretty good too with its cool summer lows. My best friend and colleague is from there. He complains that its summers are too hot whereas winters are very nice. His wife, on the other hand, has the opposite complaint - winters too cold while summers perfect.
Cape Town is a distant third.
*Of course, none of the aforementioned climates get higher than a C because of the lame ass warm winters, but they are all pretty nice relative to other members of the list.
Perth and Tunis are the best on this list. The best med climates in the world are Casablanca, Ceuta and Lampedusa, however.
Would've also been good to add Athens to the poll.
The Ceuta climate stats on Wikipedia are for the new weather station with only a few years worth of data, this was put there by the same troll who has vandalised many Spanish weather boxes on Wikipedia tweaking data & using amateur weather stations to make them appear warmer than they really are...
Cape Town is the best for me for having least extreme droughts during the summer. San Francisco has better temperatures but summer rain is almost non-existant.
1) Cape Town. Warmer than San Francisco, but with more rain. Easily one of the best Mediterranean climates (even though quite far from my ideal climate).
2) San Francisco. Cool temperatures.
3) Rome. Very hot, but still gets some rain in the summer. Not as much as I like, though, but it's not that bad considering it's Mediterranean. It's too sunny.
4) Perth. Hotter than Rome, warmer winters, but I like that winter rain. It's worse than Rome because of its warm winters and much higher sunshine hours.
5) Madrid. Rain in summer is still a possibility, but it's extremely similar to Rome. And it's too sunny.
6) Tunis. By now, the climate is starting to get similar to what you'd expect from hell.
7) Sacramento. Summers are very hot and punishingly sunny, but there are winters that make Sacramento's climate barely forgivable.
8) Los Angeles. One of the worst climates on Earth. It gets only 3.5 days of precipitation in 5 months. That's a serious thirst!
9) Santiago. Located near to the Atacama Desert, one of the driest places in the world, it's no wonder than Santiago is so dry. This area's landscape is very similar to Mars'. It's one of the worst climates on Earth, with an extremely harsh summer. It gets only 2 days of precipitation in 5 months.
10) Jerusalem. With only 1.6 days of precipitation in 5 months, it's drier than the driest sandwich I've ever eaten. It's really reminiscent of Hell, and that's probably the source of inspiration of the Christian Hell.
Jerusalem is a very important city for Christianity, and that's where Jesus grow up. Mecca is the Holy City of Islam, and has the worst climate in the world. It might not be a coincidence that important religious cities have punishing climates that torture you for the longest amount of time possible.
I think one of the best mediterranean climates is Heraklion, Greece. This is also coincidentally the home of one of the most ancient civilizations in the world.

Do you really think 3.9 days of precipitation in 5 months is good? That's thirsty!
Cape Town gets 26.1 days of precipitation in 5 months, which is much better for me
1. Los Angeles
2. Perth
3. Tunis
4. Cape Town
5. Sacramento
6. Jerusalem
7. Rome
8. Santiago
9. San Francisco
10. Madrid
