Small diurnal ranges year round.
Winter Max 70°F/21°C Min 63°F/17°C
Summer Max 88°F/30°C Min 80°F/27°C

And if small diurnal ranges means rainy climates then look at Salalah Oman and Bahrain's climates.

Here the diurnal range in the summer is twice what it is in the winter, that's because winters are mostly cloudy and summers are mostly sunny. We have a 6c difference in January and 12c in July.

I would not mind having a larger diurnal range in the winter, so it would be sunnier and drier overall, but not like a 15c difference, that seems a bit extreme.
A large diurnal range is this. Max 30°C Min 10°C
A small diurnal range is this. Max 30°C Min 27°C

You asked for it.

I would say on average about like summer, something like 20 F / 11 C difference. The colder months should have a much higher standard deviation, with occasional days of 30-60 F / 17-34 C diurnal range days in winter, fall, and spring as well as some days of less than 10 F / 6 C diurnal range. Summer should be 12-25 F / 6-14 C diurnal range 95% of the time.

Depends. If it's gonna be below freezing, smaller range. If it's gonna be above, bigger, but not too big. If it's gonna snow I'd rather it not warm up to the 40s but get no warmer than the low 30s as I don't want the snow to be gone in the same day.

If the high will be in the 50s or low 60s I'd rather the low reach the 30s at least.

Large. I find big diurnal ranges fascinating and it allows for quick snow melt and the possibility of snow without a very cold high. So anything over 15 degrees is good, ideally 25-30. Also, if it's sunny and dry, there's more chance of a high diurnal range.

My dream climate averages 26 degree ranges in December and January and 27 in February.

For the climate I'm in I prefer a larger diurnal ranges in the winter, as smaller diurnal ranges usually means snow which I can't stand.

For my dream climate I prefer smaller diurnal ranges in the winter, with an average of about 13.5°C Max 8.5°C Min.

Winters with small diurnal ranges, because I like cloudy winters.

15-20F on average, but some clear days with 30+ and some cloudy or snowy days with <10 for variety. Large ranges all the time would mean that mornings are too cold or days are too warm (or both in a place like Alamosa Colorado). Small would be fine but it's probably very cloudy if ranges are less than 10F most days.
