I'll pick NY because there's more variety but 71°F during the winter is crazy.

Los Angeles for the sun and dryness.

But these NYC temps are impressive for late-December.

LA for the sunshine and slightly warmer conditions (overall). Still, I'm satisfied with our forecast, even if it is abnormally wet.

NYC has a warmer and still sunny Christmas but LA has a better week overall.

BTW it looks like NYC (central park) might have a warmer December than Las Vegas this year, which is crazy.

NYC has nice impressive temperatures for sure, but LA because it would feel much nicer in the sun at a lower latitude and with the longer days.

Where is LA-Mex? This Christmas week looks 40F below average from what I've heard about LA's climate

I honestly don't know if he'll be back or not; I miss the entertainment value of his posts.
Yeah, I really can't believe that New York will have a warmer Christmas Eve and Christmas Day than us.
L.A's warm epoch is over; here's the forecast for our January 2016.

Los Angeles pretty easily, very comfortable and stable unlike large portions of the eastern United States at the moment. I have to take the comfy, dry conditions with lots of sun in this poll. NYC's forecast isn't too bad but it could be better or I should say it could look like LA's forecast.
