This is the climate battle between two rare forms of continental climates.

Munich could be classified as a humid continental climate. Although Wikipedia says that Munich is a oceanic climate. It's definitely a mild continental climate typical for central Europe. Munich four distinct seasons. Winters are cold and snowy with temperatures ranging between -4°C (24°F) and 2°C (35°F) while during the summer the temperatures can get as hot as 23°C (73°F) as an average high and 12°C (53°F) as it is summer average low. The record high Munich is 36°C (96°F) and the record low is -31°C (-23°F) and that's not even including the windchill and humidity. As you can see Munich it's clearly a continental climate but it is milder than a typical humid continental climate such as Montreal.

Denver has a semi arid continental climate. It's temperatures are somewhat similar to Munich but it is much much much dryer. The average low during the winter is -8°C (18°F) but the average high in the winter 6°C (43°F). Summers in Denver are hotter than they are in Munich. The average high in the summer is 31°C (88°F) although the temperature can get down to 14°C (57°F) during the night in the summer. The record high is 41°C (105°F) and the record low is -29°C (-20°F) which is warmer than Munich.

Which climate do you prefer. I definitely take Munich because it has more precipitation less sunshine hours and probably more chance of snow due to the wet winters.

Denver is much sunnier and gets more warm days in winter. It also probably gets more thunderstorms in summer despite being semi-arid due to elevation and location closer to the tornado alley than the West Coast.

Denver.

Munich is too gloomy, although I would prefer its "summers".

Oh. I'm not used to Celcuis being in brackets. America seriously should change to metric. It would make this a lot easier.

Denver for the extra sunshine and overall greater aridity.

I actually agree. I'll start using metric primarily in my forecasts.
