Seems like at this point the La Niña is not a matter of "if" but "when" but my question is, "Will it end our Southern California coastal warm epoch?" Will summer of 2016 be more similar to the summer of 2015 or to the summer of 2010 for us? NOAA calls for above average temperatures at our coast this coming summer so is it possible that our warm epoch remains even though the Equatorial Pacific cools to below normal?

Saw an image that the upwelling was impressive and that cold waters below the surface are getting near the surface now.

This was from last week.. you can see it from the right image the cold waters are filtering up to the surface
