Let's craft our IDEAL SUMMER weather (not your current location's climate) .

How would you prefer your summers to look like according to this criteria?

A) Average maximum temperature
B) Average minimum temperature
C) Highest temperature
D) Lowest temperature
E) Minimum high
F) Maximum low
G) Precipitation days per month
H) Thunderstorm days per month
I) Rainfall average per month
J) Percentage of possible sunshine
K) Highest dewpoint
L) Lowest dewpoint
M) Average dewpoint during daily maximum
N) Max rainfall in a single day
O) Any other criteria you want to include (such as summer frosts or hurricane data, etc). Mine will be summer SST since my ideal climate would be on the beach.

I) About 4 inches per month
J) 70 percent

N) around 3 inches in a strong thunderstorm
O) SST average 78F fluctuating between 76F and 81F throughout the summer.

Does "Average dewpoint during daily maximum" refer to daily maximum temperature or daily maximum dewpoint?

My preferences are almost the same as OP's. All numbers are approximate.
A. 86F
B. 68F
C. 95F
D. 59F
E. 77F
F. 77F
G. About 9 days
H. About 6 days
I. 3.5-4.0"
J. Just under 70%
K. 77F?
L. 59F?
M. 68?
N. Not sure...
O. Most days are sunny or partly cloudy and thunderstorms are powerful but brief.

Summer temperatures in my current climate are okay by my preferences, I just wish sunshine was a bit higher and thunderstorms more frequent (not necessarily Florida or Midwest frequency but continental Europe frequency like 20-30 days a year, plus getting thunderstorms every day might mean they get less interesting).
