Two interesting climates, one considered the "best" in France's Atlantic Coast and the other considered the "best" in it's Mediterranean Coast. Let's see which one wins for you!
It's climate is known to keep a very mild character throughout the year, with warmer winters and milder summers than other locations, and is thus often said to be the best climatic region within the French Riviera. That being said, everyone has personal preferences and there is no absolute best climate. I chose these cities as they have the general reputation to be the climatically best within their coast.
For La Rochelle, no doubt. For Nice, I find it a bit boring and too humid overall compared to Marseille and everything else that's west of the Rhone delta. But yeah, if you like it mild, Nice is the best for sure.

Good point. Marseille does have more interesting seasons in my opinion as well. I would opt for a winter in Nice and the other seasons in sunny Marseille.
Interesting to see that La Rochelle is having far more success. Is it mostly because of the cooler summers or cooler winters? Or perhaps for its precipitation pattern?
