Wuhai, a city in Inner Mongolia, China, is one of the few cities whose antipode is an inhabited city, that being Valdivia, Chile.

Climate of Wuhai: Cold desert (BWk)
Climate of Valdivia: Oceanic-Mediterranean borderline (Cfb/Csb)

Valdivia for me - a colder, wetter, and cloudier version of my climate.

Well, I've been to Valdivia several times, and every time it rained. However, I would not mind living in the region, especially October to April. I was a high school student for a year in Chile over 50 years ago. The temperatures in Valdivia are quite mild, comparable to many parts of coastal northern California. No surprise, Valdivia is roughly the same latitude as coastal northern California.

Look at this comparison between Fortuna, CA and Valdivia, Chile. Valdivia is slightly warmer in peak summer months, but almost identical otherwise.

Chose Valdivia because Wuhai is in China ...I am no fan of China or anything to do with that country.

I like mild year round temps but Valdivia in winter gets a ton of rain...about 45 inches of rain
in just a few months....the upside is it keeps everything nice and green.

I also choose Valdivia as it is more temperate (compare Wuhai where there's both little precipitation and severe continentality). Really, an easy one for Valdivia, even with the high precipitation in May-August (1080,2 mm, which is around 61,6% of the entire annual precipitation).
