California's drought is actually pretty normal. The study I found said in the past california was more desert like. I want to go find the study again. It said that basically California has always been a desert and the recent past was just a wet period. Referring to southern California mainly of course.

Every 2001-2025 projection, Portland doesn't change at all.

I find it hard to believe that Southern Ontario will turn into a Cfa climate even 50 years from now. What kind of averages will there be? Will Windsor turn into how Louisville, KY is now?

Yeah, if Windsor or London become Cfa, then Phoenix would become tropical desert, not holding my breath

I meant that if they update Koppen in its current form, the areas around NYC will be Dfa. Because the main consensus, at least here, is that NYC is more Dfa than Cfa. Many even argue that even Washington DC is more Dfa than Cfa.

But yes, if the world is getting warmer, then perhaps these northern regions in the US would be more Cfa.

Oh okay I see, I will link a study tomorrow that mentions why climatologists are fine with koppen. I don't think they will change the system unless more climatologists have a problem with it. Maybe some minor tweaks.

With climate change, I'm sure Windsor will be Cfa within 50 years, probably sooner, it already is using the -3C isotherm of the original Koppen scheme, so 0C isn't too far fetched in 50 years.
