One of the gloomiest months we've had in a long time, in recent years, only June 2013 and July 1993 averaged less sunshine per day. Also the rainiest March since 1975. It's the first time Observatory Hill has had four consecutive months average 20C+ minimums.

Burlington, ON

Avg high 4C
Avg low -3C

Colder than normal high, warmer than normal low, only by 1C.

Typical march rollercoaster ride, weakest, least favourite month of the year.

April 2015 was pretty gloomy and wet with some suburbs getting over 400mm of rain that month.

I think only 125 hours of sun were registered that month, but I'm not too sure (if anyone has the stats?).

5.7 x 30 = 171

If you add up all the numbers on that page it adds up to 169.8, which is 5.66 per day, which rounds to 5.7. Given that it's only to one decimal place, there will necessarily be a rounding error, but I don't think that matters very much.
