Mercedes has a perfect Subtropical climate imo.

It summer days are hot but confortable enough to sleep during nights, during it cool shots from Patagonia can down temperatures into low 10s,and hot air from north to high 30s,although they are not common.
Winters are frosty ,with some cold shots who may bring lows below zero for at least 10-20 days in the cold season, snow are rare but can happen during intense cold waves like 2007.

Good humidity, perfect rainfall pattern, great highs year round. What stops it from being an A+ climate is the constant freezes in the winter Mercedes Month Weather - AccuWeather Forecast for Soriano Uruguay Mercedes Month Weather - AccuWeather Forecast for Soriano Uruguay

In comparison here are some other places in the region that I think are A+ climates
Rosario Month Weather - AccuWeather Forecast for Santa Fe Argentina
Paysandu Month Weather - AccuWeather Forecast for Paysandú Uruguay
Buenos Aires Month Weather - AccuWeather Forecast for Buenos Aires - Capital Federal Argentina

I realize this was one of the coldest winters on record in the Southern Cone so it's kinda nitpicking, but in an A+ climate freezes should be at most "a couple of times a year". But even so, it's a solid A climate!

C +

Problem is that summer rainfall is a bit too high and temps are generally a bit too high in that season. Apart from that it looks reasonable.

Last June was quite cold, you remember that I posted temperatures map in the SH thread? the interior parts of Uruguay gets a lot of freezes every winter, that reflects on vegetation there, when I start looking,I was impressed how dead their river forests look in winter,at least 50-70% of trees are deciduous, most from late May until late August, thoses freezes can really damage them.

Thoses photos was taken on a river close to Mercedes,i've found them in Google Earth, they are from the same place in summer and winter.

Solid C.

Summers seem a bit hot and consistently humid (our summers are superior). Winters are very good, and better than ours (temp-wise), except their sunshine hours are too low.
