Hello,

Me and my wife love hot weather and swimming. Our dream is to live in a hot climate with our own swimming pool. We are considering moving south to North Carolina (Charlotte), but we are afraid it's not hot enough to enjoy swimming pool most of the year.

Let's say the minimum desired water temperature is 76 degrees. How many months a year can we expect with such water temperature in our pool (without additional heating)?

Kind regards,
Pavel

Anytime from at least mid May perhaps late May(around Memorial Day) through about maybe the middle of September I feel could be a pretty good bet for swimming in such a climate, I know that the community pool in Fort Worth Texas is usually open from mid May through mid to late September most years, and so since Fort Worth Texas is probably a bit warmer year round than Charlotte, this is what I am basing such a proposition on, I hope I gave you useful advice.

Get a heated pool.

I my area most pools are heated and my immediate neighbours run their pools
from mid/late may until late september...even early october some years.
And I’m in Canada....the frozen north

Charlotte, NC unheated pools would have a similar pool season and with a bit of
heating, the pool season can be extended....I’m thinking early/mid april to
mid/late october at least. Possible 7 month pool season.

You would be better off in Miami than Charlotte if you want pool weather year round. Almost every day of the year is a pool day in Miami except for a few days in the winter during a cold snap.
