According to eldorado weather, it was 25°C today in Southern Austria. Is this correct as it usually cold in Austria at this time of year? If it is it is remarkable indeed.
Klagenfurt in Southern Austria has an all-time record high of 16.6°C for December, so it's most certainly not true. It's also quite cool all over Europe right now.

Fair enough, but Innsbruck isn't exactly more friendly to warm extremes in December either, with a warm extreme of 17.1°C for December. Unlike Klagenfurt, however, it has received 20°C in January, but it's nothing like Northwestern Italy for warmth potential in winter, where for example Turin has an incredible 25°C January record high and Milan is at above 21°C for all months of the year as a record temp.
These are the maximum temperatures recorded across Austria yesterday & today. Obviously huge error readings from whatever site you are using...
