Maybe Lyon has also the highest amount of summer thunderstorms among these cities.

That would be a major plus too. Not as hot as the other ones either (except Bilbao, Bordeaux and Porto).

Lyon - perfect 3 season climate.

Winter? What winter? I spend Dec and Jan, every year, in a town near there to escape from the harsh winters of Saskatchewan, Canada. Once you've driven a tractor through a blizzard in order to be able to get on the highway to get groceries, a chilly, damp French winter is almost paradise.
