A few of us were chuckling over coffee yesterday morning over the snow showers forecast for Washington D.C. as highlightled in this article:

Monster snow storm descends on East Coast - Weather- msnbc.com

I especially like the part about:

"In Virginia, Gov. Tim Kaine declared a state of emergency ahead of the storm, placing the National Guard and other agencies on standby."

National Guard? State of Emergency? Heck, that's just another day of snow showers in Copper Country!

Some areas around DC are expecting nearly 2 feet of snow... ! That is alot for the metro area there (as it would be for just about anywhere, except maybe the lake effect areas around the Great Lakes). So, I can see why they might be considering a State of Emergency.

They got close to 2 feet of snow in DC from these "snow showers"

I swear sometimes these patronizing comments from people that live in the snowbelt get so annoying..
