My youngest daughter got her mothers 2nd Multi diamond ring that I had bought yrs later in our marriage.

My first grandchild (girl) in her early 30's is getting married for the 1st time next month. A few yrs ago I bought her a small diamond ring to wear on her right hand so that some of it might rub off and give her luck...well took a while but did work.

My point is that there is NO value better then Sentimental Value regardless of the original cost. Granted there was a divorce...still the ring was yours and what better then to be able to pass it down to a daughter or grandaughter in the coming yrs ahead.

I like that idea. Some day my son or future son in law might want to propose and not be able to afford a nice ring.

If you're a straight guy, don't put it on your thumb. That just seems kind of.....gay.
A man that is self concious about his masculinity is kind of....gay.

It is engraved and I'm sure I can get the engravings removed from the inside of the ring. Also, can these rings be upsized to fit a thumb?
Well, a while back (back in 2002), I knew a woman who was divorced and wore hers on her right hand. Just the band part, not the solitaire. It still looked good and looked like a regular jewelry ring.

But in my first marriage, I just pawned mine, after I signed the divorce paper work. But mine had a separate band, so I kept the band and wore it on my right hand from then on. I still wear that thing too.

In some areas wearing a wedding band on the ring finger of the right hand designates that the wearer is a widow or widower.
