Hi All,

Just wanted to get your thoughts on these complexes (mind you I know the one in Lantana probably sucks but I figure I would inquire anyway)

Clear Lake Club - West Palm Beach- Prices are reasonable for a 1 bedroom. Is the area safe - meaning will I have to worry about leaving my car in the parking lot to get vandalized or stolen?

Runaway Bay at Lantana - heard to avoid this place at all costs, just wondering is it really that bad?

Saint Andrew's in West Palm Beach (Benoist Farms Rd)

Carribean Villas in West Palm Beach (5865 Haverhill Road West Palm Beach, FL 33407)

Village Place in West Palm Beach (2111 Brandywine Road West Palm Beach, FL 33409)

Village Crossing Apartments (3101 Village Blvd., West Palm Beach, FL 33409)

Royal Saint George (1651 Brandywine Rd West Palm Beach, FL 33409)

Reflections of West Palm Beach (4860 Sand Stone Lane, West Palm Beach, FL 33417)

Clear Lake Club probably not the best bet for you. Same with St. Andrews.

Anything in the Villages area would be my best bet.

I do not know anything about the Lantana apt.

I would look at these first. Village Place, Village Crossing Apartments and Royal Saint George. They are safe, in your price range and convenient.

Run far away from Runaway Bay, I lived down the road in another development and Runaway was crime infested back then and is probably not any better now.

Thanks for the replies... The reason I was wondering about Village place is it got very bad reviews online - like seriously worse than Runaway Bay but I used the street view option on google maps and the area did not look too bad but I was just wondering what was up?

I personally found that apartment ratings were almost useless. If someone is angry at the apartment management they will get all their friends to post negative ratings. People that are satisfied, rarely take the time to post positive ratings. I visited 15 apartment complexes in the West Palm area last summer who advertised apartments $775 - $900 per month. Those in the Villages area had the nicest apartments I saw in the lower end of that price range. I contacted the Palm Beach Sheriff Dept regarding crime in the area and I could not see serious crime as being a problem at that time. Domestic disputes & petty theft seemed to account for the majority of the crime there.
