I have been to San Diego, May Gray and June Gloom is real nice time to visit.

Well the only difference is here, we have rain in the summer, and it's dry in the winter without wild fires, mud slides and etc. Santa Ana winds and wild fires in the parched SoCal environment is really enjoyable, if you want to roast marshmallows.

You know UPS has that slogan....it also applies to California's landscape..

California, What can Brown do for you?
dude, I live in south fla. I know what it's like here very well.

California is just more beautiful than Florda. There's like no denying that. Outside of the beach, Florida is NOT that pretty. It's flat. It's boring. Strip malls, random swamps, etc. Fort Lauderdale, where I live... is ugly except for the beaches. But drive down oakland park blvd-- ugly. Drive down Broward Blvd west of 95....ugly. Drive down freakin Belevedere in west palm....ugly. It's just not that striking. California is is strikingly more beautiful than Florida. OMG.

Southern Cal is plenty green if u ask me. I was just there in July. It was green enough. Plenty of trees, plenty of green grass, plenty of palms. Yeah, it looked dryer than SoFla....but still plenty of green. I wasn't like "omg, it's not green here"

dude I lived in San Diego for 10 years, well not really but like you I will claim one thing and say another.

You sound like someone who did not do their homework, why move to Florida if you like California so much? I know what California has to offer, aside from the weather, scenery and a few other things you have to contend with wall to wall people, high cost of living, high rents, high taxes, expensive housing to purchase, goverment in crisis, jobs don't pay well to the high cost of living (San Diego) and etc. the list can keep going...if you can afford and deal with all of that, then it's all great.

There are places outside of the beach here that are nice, you just have not left the concrete jungle of Broward which has some of the ugliest looking areas of South Florida. You need to go to Coconut Grove, Palm Beach and etc. Go into Dania, Pompano and look how pleasing it is to the eye, not going to deny that, San Diego, Carlsbad and etc has nice natural beauty, business parks. LA not so much, depends when they were built, a lot of what you see in San Diego is new and properly planned.

Florida is tropical, green and lush, California is Mediterranean and very brown, palm trees yeah but not like here. Totally different climates, the beaches here have their perks, California as well has it's perks.

Why people from California escape to Florida as some type of alternative is beyond me, I could personally live in either state but California is far from a good financial option, nice place to visit...but to live, no thanks. I like having a yard, parking and a green space around me, not to mention not being taxed to death. You have to be rich to afford a nice house in the nice parts of California compared to what you can get here for less.
