Do you have a job offer here? if not don't move until you have one. Florida is a great place to live and raise a family but jobs here a few and hard to get. In some case you have to know some person on the inside. please reconsidered.

I happen to think that Lake Worth is a jewel in the rough. it's getting a cute downtown and the local folks are very friendly.

Florida is not cheap, but the cost of living is less here than other states. There are many pros in my opinion.
