I've recently accepted a job in Palm Beach Gardens. The salary is okay and I am looking to move in a few months.

Craigslist and Google didn't help too much on finding cheap rent. I'm used to $450, a nice house to share and all utilities included. I realize Palm Beach County is expensive, not sure why WPB is so expensive as the houses look awful throughout.

Anyway, what are my options for the cheapest rent but staying in a safe(ish) area? Thanks in advance.

If you want cheaper you'll need to commute from further north. Otherwise pay up. West Palm is fairly expensive and so is Jupiter.

Yes some of the cityseastays are budget friendly but if you let them know you are a good renter with good credit you should be ok.

I can say I'm finding that 'cheap' and 'safe' are exclusive terms in SOFLA. might be best to look for someone to share a house with if that's an option for you. you could try asking HR at your new employer if they have any resources or company classifieds.

Doesn't it all depend on location? San Matera,,,, Palm Beach gardens, NICE and safe right? I think they're 1200 for 2/2.... Less for a 1 bedroom.

The condos at San Matera are going at $1300 for the smallest 1 bedroom if you can get one and the 2 bedrooms start at $1450 to $1850 for a large 2 bedroom
