Hi. Am planning to visit Singer Island shortly for first time. but losing enthusiasm after reading some threads about safety issues. Frankly, I am flying in late at night, probably will be arriving there at 10:00 PM at the earliest, maybe later. Am heading to Palm Beach Shores.

Was planning on using GPS but have read like 50 threads warning about how unsafe Riviera Beach is during the daytime let alone at night. Is it really that bad?

Am looking for a relaxing mellow time. Other issue is, there are several of us going. We have traveled together before and usually, though not always, get lost. Normally we don't mind..it's kind of an adventure..but I am seeing posts that make driving over the bridge at night sound like jumping off a cliff. I know people tend to exagerate but I really would like as much honest pertinent information as I can have.

Like I said, peace and quiet is what we are looking for. And safety of coarse.

Thank you.

Look at the crime statistics in the area immediately adjacent to Singer Island then decide if driving through that area is a good idea.

Since you will arrive later at night, go up to PGA and just head East until you're on Singer Island. Palm Beach Shores is on the south end. You will love it there!

You'll be fine if your driver takes US1 to the Blue Heron bridge.

It's really not that bad in Riviera Beach unless you drive around slow on the side streets which you won't be doing.

have fun.
Palm Beach Shores is beautiful.
