$/ft. for new roof (how much, house, contractor)

Does anyone know the going rate per square foot of new tile roof near Boca? If you know the price you paid for a new roof and the square footage of your house we could work backwards also.

But a contractor's answer would be better.

Here are a few things that affect price:
Copper or Galvanized metal.
Single ply or built-up
90# weight or Modified Bitumen (cap sheet)
Torch down or Hot tar
Tile, Shingle, or metal roof
If converting from cedar shake, all deck wood will have to be replaced with 3/4 " plywood. (Trusses are spaced too far apart to support Tile) that's expensive!
How much wood needs to be replaced.
Nail down or Screw down...
Etc...

So, I'm sure you have gotten my point. First discuss and decide exactly what type of roofing application you want anfd then price it out. You may then have to reconsider depending upon budget.
Finally contracting with a professional roofer who wants to live and work in your community is imperative. Referrals are helpful.
