Certainly this post, shows the ambitious plans for a revitalized former GM plant site where they used to make mini-vans and the surrounding area.
I remember a couple weeks ago after Irene, that whole lot was flooded. Hopefully the developers get their engineers on that, before they break ground on whatever they finally wind up doing.
The second group of condos has been done for several years. They were all sold. The first set of pictures is still under construction. They are much nicer, but started rather late in the real estate price cycle. Being quite expensive, the selling has been slow.
Last I heard nothing at all has been decided on for the former GM plant. They've been fighting about that for twenty years now. However, I moved out of the area a couple of months ago so I may not be totally up to date on it.
TD you are still up to date. Nothing has or will be done with the GM site for quite some time. The Brownfield clean up has to be figured out as well as the flooding issue which occurs regularly. The GM area used to be the outlet for the Pocantico River and was filled in to expand the plant.
