We currently live in Goshen NY, and my children attend Chester schools. My oldest son is 10 years old, and has severe ADHD and some autistic spectrum behaviors, such as ripping his work or refusing to do his work, sensory issues, and being overwhelmed by his enviornment at times. He is in a regular ed class with an aide. This school is very poor at creating creative interventions to accomadate my sons disability. Can anyone recommend a school district in orange or westchester that uses creative interventions, understands that these kids learn differently, however benefit from being mainstreamed.
Thanks for any input, I look foward to your response.
