You can try one of the many nature parks or farms. At least they learn something while having fun. If in the south, Greenburgh Nature Preserve. Not sure if Blue Hill in Tarrytown does kids b-days. In the north, John Jay Homestead or Muscoot.

What about a place like The Little Gym of Scarsdale? They can tailor programs for your child's age range, and my nieces always enjoy The Little Gyms and other similar places for indoor parties. I think they started there not long out of toddler age, IIRC.

We just had a birthday party at Sports Time in Elmsford. It was the most affordable place we could find, but I wouldn't say it was super nice...

That's my way of thinking. But clearly birthday parties at home are a thing of the past in these parts!

My Gym in Larchmont/Mamaroneck (I'm not sure technically) or JW Tumbles in Mamaroneck. We go to My Gym and the facility and the staff are great. Haven't been to a party there but it would be great for 3 year olds.

We threw my son's party at JW Tumbles and it was also a great time. Can't go wrong with either. Having said that, 7-8 kids might be a little small for these places. What about something like ABC Cakes on Mam'k Ave, where they can make their own cupcakes? Might be messy with 3 year olds but fun! And better for that group size.

Have been to 2 parties at FunCraft on Central Ave. It was fun! Kids can do their own crafts anf there's a back room where they can dance and have pizza / cake sing happy birthday. A very nice time for the kids. Not sure if there's a minimum for the amount of children to have the event.
We actually did my 3yo's party at home...played games, rented a clown/balloon guy, made our own cupcakes and as favors, I ordered each of the girls (5 of them) their own chef's apron and chef's hat which was personalized with their name (iron on). Really cute.
